When completing the straight section of the curve driving test, it is essential to align the car body straight before entering and drive to the center of the road. If the front of the car is about to cross the roadside line, turn the steering wheel slightly more to the left to keep the left side of the car's front aligned with the roadside line.

I just passed the second driving test not long ago, and the S-curve is my strongest skill. Before entering the curve, make sure the car is aligned straight, sit upright with your head against the headrest for accurate reference points. When starting the left turn, focus on the left side of the hood—once it aligns with the right line, turn the steering wheel one full turn to the left. Don’t just look ahead; scan the side mirrors to ensure even spacing on both sides, making minor adjustments if needed. When the car feels centered and straight, return the wheel. Then switch to the right turn, watching the right side of the hood for the left line—once it touches, turn the wheel one full turn to the right, adjusting similarly to exit the curve. Remember not to steer too sharply or too slowly, keep movements steady, and control the speed to avoid going too fast. Practice a few times, and your body will naturally memorize the rhythm—it’ll feel effortless.

Practicing S-curves is all about the coordination between your eyes and hands. When entering the curve, align the front of the car with the center of the entrance, then focus on observing the left and right boundary lines. When you see the left vertex of the hood touch the right boundary line, turn the steering wheel one full turn to the left, while quickly glancing at the rearview mirror to ensure the wheels are 30-40 cm away from the boundary line—adjust the angle if necessary. As the car reaches the middle of the curve and the front gradually straightens, quickly return the steering wheel to the center. Then, watch the right side; when the right corner of the hood meets the left boundary line, immediately turn the steering wheel one full turn to the right, adjusting the direction in the same manner until smoothly exiting the curve. Maintain a consistent speed throughout and execute movements decisively and smoothly.

The key to S-curve technique lies in steering at three critical positions. When starting to turn left, immediately steer one full turn to the left as soon as the left corner of the hood aligns with the right line. Then, straighten the wheel when the center point of the curve appears in the left rearview mirror. Finally, when turning right, quickly steer one full turn to the right as the right corner of the hood meets the left line. Throughout the process, constantly check the rearview mirrors to observe the distance on both sides, and make slight corrective steering in the opposite direction where it's narrower. Maintain a steady speed, and ensure timely yet smooth steering. Remembering these reference points makes it easy to navigate.
