Paddle shifters are gear-shifting devices installed for semi-automatic clutches in cars, allowing gear changes without pressing the clutch pedal—simply by pulling the paddle shifters. Paddle shifters are typically located behind the steering wheel and are widely used in racing. The most common placement is on the left and right inner arcs of the steering wheel.
