Use the i-Stop-OFF button located on the lower left panel of the steering wheel. Press and hold this button for more than 2 seconds to toggle the function on or off. When i-Stop is enabled, the dashboard will display i-Stop in green. When disabled, it will show i-Stop in orange.

Having driven for several years, I frequently use Mazda's i-stop feature, which is quite handy in practice. Every time I start the car, the system is enabled by default. When you stop at a red light or in traffic by pressing the brake, the engine automatically shuts off once the speed drops to zero, saving fuel while keeping things quiet. Releasing the brake or lightly pressing the accelerator restarts it almost instantly with no noticeable delay. New drivers might be amazed at how seamless it feels. However, it temporarily deactivates on highways or steep slopes to prevent safety risks. To turn it off, just press the i-stop button on the center console. Overall, it saves around seven or eight yuan in fuel per day in city driving while also helping air quality by reducing emissions. Don’t forget regular battery maintenance, or the system may stop working.

Will a tire temperature of 70 degrees Celsius cause a blowout on the highway?

During the hottest days of summer, the asphalt on highways can reach temperatures as high as 80 degrees Celsius. Tires not only come into direct contact with the ground but also generate heat due to friction, leading to excessively high tire temperatures and an increased risk of blowouts. Here are detailed precautions: Regularly check tire pressure: Tire pressure should not be too high. If your vehicle lacks a tire pressure monitoring system, frequently use a tire pressure gauge. Clean tire debris regularly: Remove sharp stones, nails, or screws stuck in the tires promptly. Front tire blowout: Firmly grip the steering wheel, gradually slow down, and then steer the vehicle onto the emergency lane. Place a warning triangle at a safe distance behind the vehicle. Rear tire blowout: This is relatively "luckier." Simply stabilize the steering wheel, ease off the accelerator, and pull over to the side.

Which Circle Should I Look at on the Tire Pressure Gauge?

Tire pressure gauges can display readings on either the inner or outer circle, with the difference lying in the units of measurement. The outer circle uses the imperial unit psi, while the inner circle uses kg/cm2. The conversion formula between them is 14.5psi = 1.02kg/cm2. For instance, if the tire pressure gauge reads 2.5, it refers to the black inner circle. Here are more details: Classification of tire pressure gauges: Tire pressure gauges can be categorized into dial-type, digital, and alarm-type gauges, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Dial-type gauges are convenient to use, requiring only a connection to the tire valve for pressure measurement, but they may lack precision and could show slight deviations.

What are the precautions for beginners before hitting the road?

Precautions for novice drivers: 1. Reverse slowly: Novice drivers should reverse at a slow speed, usually by half-pressing the brake. 2. Following and meeting distance: The following distance while driving should be estimated based on the current speed. When parking, the following distance is generally appropriate when the rear wheels of the car in front are barely visible. 3. Judgment for beginners on the road: "Keep your eyes wide open and your ears sharp." Whether you're a beginner or an experienced driver, this is essential. 4. Be cautious at night: Night driving has poorer visibility, making it harder to see far ahead, which can easily cause panic for novice drivers. 5. Perform car maintenance before departure: Beginners must ensure timely car maintenance before hitting the road. As a novice on the road, ensuring travel safety requires excellent driving skills.

What does 'maximum' mean on tires?

maximum is a Giti brand tire. Giti Tire company owns brands such as Giti, GT Radial, Primewell, Goodride, Greatwall, Roadstone, Runway, and Lanvigator. Below are detailed explanations: The functions of car tires are: to support the entire weight of the vehicle, bear the load of the car, and transmit forces and moments in other directions; to work with the car suspension to mitigate the impact received during driving and dampen the resulting vibrations; to prevent severe vibrations and early damage to car components, adapt to the high-speed performance of the vehicle and reduce driving noise; to transmit traction and braking torque, ensuring good adhesion between the wheels and the road surface to improve the car's power, braking, and passing performance.

What Does Tire Pressure Loss Mean?

Tire pressure loss refers to a decrease in tire pressure. Here are detailed explanations: Causes of tire pressure loss: It can be caused by a tire leak or puncture from a nail. Tire pressure loss means the absence of tire pressure. When a tire is damaged, the valve leaks, or the tire is punctured by a nail, the high-pressure gas inside the tire gradually leaks out, eventually leading to a loss of air pressure. Hazards of tire pressure loss: Insufficient pressure increases tire body deformation, making the tire side prone to cracks. It also causes flexing movements, leading to excessive heat, accelerating rubber aging, fatigue of the cord layer, and breakage of cords. Additionally, it increases the tire's contact area with the ground, accelerating shoulder wear.

What Causes Water Leakage Above the Left Car Door?

Water leakage above the left car door is generally caused by aging door frame seals or deformation of the door sealing strips. Below are some related tips for door maintenance: 1. Proper Door Closing: After exiting the vehicle, push the door to a distance of 10-15cm from the car body, then gently close it with a slight force. Alternatively, slowly push the door until it closes before releasing your hand. This effectively protects the door and avoids loud noises. 2. Door Maintenance: The key to extending the lifespan of your car door is "maintenance." Frequent opening and closing of the door can increase wear and corrosion of the door limiter and hinges if not lubricated in time, potentially leading to malfunctions. It is advisable to have a professional lubricate the door hinges and limiter with grease to reduce wear and tear.
