To use cruise control in the Magotan: 1. First, vertically lift the cruise control lever located below the steering wheel column, and corresponding changes will appear on the instrument panel; 2. While driving, set the desired speed according to actual road conditions by lifting the lever toward the steering wheel again to activate cruise control; 3. In case of emergencies, stepping on the brake will automatically deactivate the cruise control function. The Magotan is a mid-size sedan launched by FAW-Volkswagen, with body dimensions of 4866mm in length, 1832mm in width, and 1464mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2871mm. In terms of exterior design, the Magotan draws inspiration from the design elements of Volkswagen's top luxury sedan, the Phaeton, embodying the understated yet luxurious design language of Volkswagen's high-end vehicles in both its exterior and interior.

Last time I drove my friend's Magotan on the highway, I specifically tried the cruise control. The activation button is on the left side of the steering wheel - pressing the button with the speedometer icon illuminates the cruise indicator on the instrument panel. Then accelerate the car to your desired speed, say 100 km/h, and press the SET button to lock it in. The small lever on the steering wheel is particularly handy - a light push upwards increases speed, while pulling it downwards decreases speed, adjusting by about 2 km/h each time. If you encounter slower traffic ahead and need to brake, pressing the RES button automatically returns to the previously set speed. However, always stay alert to road conditions - take over throttle control in advance when overtaking. I basically don't use this function on rainy days, safety first.

Using cruise control in the Magotan makes long-distance driving much easier. On the left functional area of the steering wheel, find the button with a clock icon and press it to light up. Then accelerate to your desired speed—I usually set it to 110 km/h on highways—and press the SET button to activate. To adjust speed without pressing the accelerator, simply use the thumb wheel on the steering wheel: roll it up slightly to accelerate or down to decelerate. If you need to change lanes or brake, the cruise control will automatically pause. After handling the situation, press the RES button on the steering wheel to seamlessly resume your preset speed—it feels very intuitive. Remember to manually deactivate cruise control before exiting the highway ramp.

Operating the cruise control in the Magotan is extremely simple: locate the cruise activation button in the left section of the steering wheel and press it, and a white cruise icon will appear on the instrument panel. After accelerating to your desired speed with the throttle, press the SET button to activate it, at which point you can take your foot off the accelerator. To fine-tune the speed, use the +/- buttons on the steering wheel—short presses adjust by 1 km/h, while long presses adjust by 10 km/h. Press the brake or the CANCEL button to pause the cruise control. To resume, simply accelerate to above 40 km/h and press the RES button. Avoid using cruise control in heavy traffic, as following other vehicles too closely can be dangerous.
