How to Use Cruise Control in the 12th Generation Crown?

Press the control switch to activate the cruise control standby mode. After accelerating to the desired speed, push the control lever downward to set the cruising speed. To accelerate, push the control lever upward or press the accelerator pedal. To cancel cruise control, lift the control lever upward or turn off the main cruise control switch. Press the cruise control button, and the car will maintain a steady speed. Pressing the brake pedal will immediately deactivate this function. Fine-tune the speed by increasing or decreasing it slightly. After pressing the main cruise control switch, the cruise control icon will appear on the dashboard to indicate standby mode. Gently pressing the brake pedal will cancel the cruise control status.
I've been driving a 12th-generation Crown for over a decade and know the cruise control operation inside out. The control lever on the right side of the steering wheel is the key. First, press the ON/OFF switch on the side to activate the system, and a green indicator light will illuminate on the dashboard. Accelerate to your desired speed, say 80 km/h on the highway, then press the SET button at the top of the lever, and the car will automatically maintain that speed. To increase speed, gently push the lever upward; to decrease, push it downward, with each adjustment being about 1.6 km/h. Pressing the brake or the CANCEL button will pause the cruise control, and pressing the RES button will resume the previously set speed. This feature is a lifesaver on long drives, but remember, never use it in rain, snow, or on winding roads—tire slippage can be dangerous. It's also best to turn it off in the city where stop-and-go traffic makes it hard to control the distance between cars.
