Usage method of cruise control in the 10th generation Accord: 1. Press the Cruise main switch button on the upper right side of the steering wheel, and the green letter light CruiseMain on the instrument panel will illuminate simultaneously, indicating that the cruise control system is in standby mode; 2. Accelerate the vehicle to the desired speed (cruise control can only be activated when the speed exceeds 40 km/h), then press the DecelSet button; 3. To end cruise control, either depress the brake pedal or press the Cancel button to deactivate the cruise mode. In terms of exterior configuration, the 10th generation Accord offers features such as full LED headlights, LED front fog lights, headlight height adjustment, power-adjustable heated folding exterior mirrors, and chrome-plated dual exhaust pipes.

I love using cruise control when driving my 10th-gen Accord on long trips. When the highway conditions are good and the speed exceeds 40 km/h, I press the CRUISE button with the speedometer icon on the right side of the steering wheel, and the green cruise light on the dashboard immediately illuminates. Then, I continue accelerating to the desired speed, such as the highway speed limit of 110 km/h, and press the SET button next to the CRUISE button. At this point, the car will steadily maintain the current speed. On the road, if I want to fine-tune the speed without pressing the accelerator, a short press of the RES button increases the speed by 1.6 km/h each time, while the SET button decreases it by 1.6 km/h. If the car ahead slows down and braking is required, the cruise control automatically pauses. When the road conditions improve, pressing the RES button allows me to return to the original speed. Not having to keep my foot on the accelerator is truly relaxing, and it also saves a lot of fuel. However, don’t get lazy on rainy days or winding mountain roads—it’s safer to take control when visibility is poor.

Before using the Accord's cruise control, four conditions must be met: clear weather with dry road surface, straight driving section, speedometer exceeding 40 km/h, and no obstacles ahead. After activating it with the CRUISE button, press RES to accelerate and SET to decelerate. Pay special attention that this function does not automatically brake! Once on the highway, I suddenly encountered a construction sign, and while adjusting the cruise speed, I almost rear-ended. The cruise control disengaged the moment I hit the brakes, and you have to wait for safe conditions before pressing RES to resume. It's best to drive manually in tunnels as light changes can affect judgment. Another important reminder is that the steering wheel buttons can accumulate dust over time, so regular cleaning with cotton swabs prevents unresponsive presses. Develop the habit of checking dashboard indicator lights before each use—safety always comes first.

10th Gen Accord Cruise Control 5-Step Operation: First press the circular CRUISE button on the right side of the steering wheel to activate the system; accelerate to 40+ mph; press the adjacent SET button to lock the speed; adjust speed using RES (increase) / SET (decrease); cancel by simply braking. On highways, I prefer accelerating to the target speed before activating cruise. Short presses for speed adjustment too tedious? Long-press RES for 3 seconds to automatically jump to current speed limit - super convenient. Temporarily cancel cruise with CANCEL button for smoother operation than braking. Avoid cruise during rush hour, but it's truly relaxing on empty late-night highways - just one hand on the wheel with music playing. Remember it maintains speed on downhill slopes causing gradual acceleration, requiring manual intervention. Button placement is ergonomic - you won't fumble even when operating blindly.
