Last time I tried this feature while driving my bestie's A4 on the highway, it was super simple. After activation, a cruise indicator next to the speedometer turns white. When you reach 80 mph with the accelerator, just press the small button on the end of the left rear steering column stalk downward, and the car immediately maintains 80 mph automatically. If there's suddenly a slow vehicle, just lightly tap the brake to pause the cruise control. When the road clears up, no need to press the accelerator again - just gently push the stalk toward the front of the car twice, and whoosh, it returns to the previous speed. Remember not to get lazy using this on mountain roads - when going down steep slopes, the speed will keep increasing.

Having modified dozens of Audis, let me tell you, the A4's cruise control switch is hidden on the left side of the steering wheel—that slim silver toggle is it. Once the car is moving, pull the toggle toward the driver to activate the system. Press the SET button on the toggle head after reaching your desired speed with the throttle. For a temporary overtake, just step on the gas without canceling; it’ll return to the set speed once you ease off. To fully deactivate, push the toggle all the way forward toward the front of the car until it clicks into the OFF position.
