How to Use CarPlay in the Buick LaCrosse?

Before using CarPlay, you need to prepare an original USB cable. Connect the data cable to the car's USB port. Turn on Siri on your phone, and the car's system will automatically start. If the car's system does not start CarPlay, simply click the CarPlay icon on your phone.
I've been driving the LaCrosse for a while now and use CarPlay almost every day. You need to use the original data cable and plug it into the USB port under the center console, or you can try the port inside the armrest. After plugging in, a prompt will pop up on your phone screen—just tap 'Trust.' The first time might take a bit longer for the car's system to load, but afterward, it connects quickly. Once connected, the center screen switches to the CarPlay interface, with commonly used app icons neatly arranged on the left. I always use Amap for navigation while driving—its real-time traffic updates are much more accurate than the built-in car navigation. For music, NetEase Cloud Music works flawlessly. The most convenient feature is using the steering wheel buttons to skip tracks, so I don’t have to look down and tap the screen. Remember not to use off-brand cables—I learned the hard way with constant disconnections. After switching to an original Apple cable, I never had dropouts again. Also, make sure your phone’s OS is updated to the latest version, or you might get an 'unsupported device' error.
