How to Use Car Windshield Wipers?

Pull the wiper stalk toward the driver to activate the front windshield wipers for a single wipe with washer fluid. Conversely, push it away to operate the rear wiper for a single wipe with washer fluid. The wiper stalk is typically located on the right side of the steering wheel. By moving it up/down or forward/backward, you can adjust the wiper functions, including selecting front/rear wiper modes and controlling wipe frequency.
Using the windshield wipers is quite simple. Just locate a lever near the steering wheel, usually a small stalk on the right side. Push it up once for slow wiping, suitable for light rain; push it up again to switch to fast wiping, which works well for heavy rain or storms; pull it toward yourself to spray washer fluid and clean the windshield. Automatic mode is available in advanced vehicles, adjusting the speed based on rainfall, which I find quite convenient when driving in the rain. The key to safe driving in rainy weather is maintaining clear visibility, so don’t keep using worn-out wiper blades—they can produce screeching noises or even scratch the glass, compromising driving safety. Generally, wiper blades should be replaced every year or after a few thousand kilometers to ensure they are clean and free of residue. Using a dedicated cleaning fluid before activating the washer function can more effectively remove grease and insect marks.
