How to Use Amap with Carlife?

Carlife currently does not support using Amap. Here is more information about Carlife: 1. Introduction: (1) Carlife is an Internet of Vehicles solution launched by Baidu at its "Connected Cars, Intelligent Dimensions" strategy conference on January 27, 2015. (2) Carlife is China's first cross-platform Internet of Vehicles solution and one of the most compatible global standards for connected cars. 2. Three Major Functions: (1) Map navigation. (2) Phone calls. (3) Music playback.
I've tried it a few times in my car, and actually Carlife defaults to using Baidu Maps. If you want to use Amap, you need to first operate in the phone settings: open phone settings - application management - default app settings, and set the navigation default to Amap. Then connect to the car's system with a data cable and open Carlife. At this point, clicking the navigation icon will automatically switch to Amap. However, it's important to note that the car's system needs to support this kind of third-party call. Older models may require a system upgrade. Last time I connected, I also experienced some lag, which was resolved after switching to an original data cable. The advantage of using Amap is that saved locations sync directly, and it's more familiar with my route preferences compared to Baidu.
Using Amap with Carlife is actually quite simple, mainly depending on how your phone is set up. First, update Amap to the latest version and set it as the default navigation app in your phone settings. After connecting to the car's system, just tap the navigation icon, and the system will prioritize launching the default app. This way, you don't need to download additional plugins, and Amap's real-time traffic and celebrity voice packs will work normally. However, note that the Carlife version should be from 2021 or later, as older versions might not be compatible. I usually use a Huawei phone and it works on the first try, while my friend with an iPhone had to try a couple more times. If you can't connect, try restarting your phone and reconnecting to the car's system.
