What does dual-clutch transmission mean?

Dual-clutch transmission (DCT) operates with two sets of clutches working simultaneously, where one set manages the odd-numbered gears and the other controls the even-numbered gears. Therefore, the crankcase should be cleaned regularly to maintain cleanliness inside the engine.
