How to Use a Car Air Freshener?

Peel off the adhesive film on the base of the car air freshener, then find a spot on your car's dashboard and stick the air freshener there. Press the pop-up button on the car air freshener to remove the top cover. Currently, there are three main types of car air fresheners on the market: aerosol, liquid, and solid. Choose your preferred type and place it inside the air freshener box. Drop a few drops of essential oil onto the fragrance pad, then reattach the cover. This completes the installation and it's ready to use.
Using car air fresheners is actually quite simple, and I'll share some tips from my driving experience. The basic methods include hanging, plug-in, or spray types. For the hanging type, simply peel off the adhesive tape and hang it on the rearview mirror, making sure it doesn’t swing around and obstruct your view. The plug-in type is inserted into the cigarette lighter socket, and it automatically releases fragrance when the car starts; placing it near the air vent helps diffuse the scent faster. However, avoid overly strong fragrances, such as heavy floral scents, as they can cause dizziness. Replacement frequency depends on the type: hanging fresheners should be replaced every 2-4 weeks, while plug-in refills should be changed every 1-2 months. For safety, don’t place them near airbag areas or where children can easily reach them. New cars are recommended to use air fresheners to remove formaldehyde and odors. In summer, avoid direct sunlight to prevent rapid fragrance evaporation or even melting.
