How to Turn On the Skoda Octavia Display Screen?

Find the "Authorization Management" in the "Security Center" on your phone and click on it. In the program, select the corresponding software, and after opening it, check the box behind the software for "WLAN/2G/3G". Generally, the central control screen switch is located below the volume adjustment button, which is the multimedia display screen power button. Press it to turn on the central control screen. To turn it on or off, usually press and hold the volume button for about 4 seconds. If that doesn't work, look for a symbol similar to the common power switch on electrical appliances, press and hold it to turn the device on or off.
When I usually drive my Skoda Octavia to work, I find that turning on the display screen is actually quite simple. After getting in the car, starting the ignition, and powering up the vehicle, just press the round button with the power icon on the center console—it's usually located above the air conditioning controls. The first time I used it, I searched for a while, but in fact, the button has backlighting, making it easy to identify. Press it, and the screen lights up immediately, displaying basic functions like navigation and music. Some newer models even allow you to set the screen to turn on automatically when the vehicle starts, which is even more convenient. In case of a freeze, holding down the power button for ten seconds to force a reboot usually solves the problem—just like when a smartphone freezes.
As a frequent visitor to repair shops, I've interacted with the Octavia's display quite a few times. Under normal circumstances, you can wake up the screen by directly pressing the central control power button after the vehicle is powered on. Physical buttons are more reliable than touch screens. For older models, the button is located to the left of the air conditioning knob, while newer models might have it integrated into the touch panel. If pressing it doesn't elicit a response, first check if the vehicle has truly started to the ACC position. I've encountered situations where customers forgot to press the brake to ignite, leading to the screen not powering on, and others where the fuse was incorrectly connected during reverse camera modifications. For self-troubleshooting, check if there are any warning lights on the dashboard. If the screen remains black for an extended period, you'll need to inspect the wiring—remember to cut the power before operating.
