How to Turn on the Sagitar's Low Beam?
2 Answers
The lever on the left side of the steering wheel controls the turn signals and also serves as the switch for the high and low beams. Pushing the lever upward turns on the low beam, while pushing it downward activates the high beam. When in the low beam position, lifting the lever upward again will switch to the high beam, but this is a momentary switch—releasing it will revert to the low beam. Below are detailed instructions for operating the Sagitar's lever: 1. To switch between left and right turn signals, move the lever up or down. Pulling the lever toward yourself activates the headlight flasher. Holding the lever in this position keeps the headlight flasher on, and the high beam indicator on the dashboard will light up. Pushing the lever away from yourself turns on the high beam, and the high beam indicator on the dashboard will illuminate. 2. The light switch and beam height adjustment button are located on the left side of the instrument panel. To turn off the headlights, rotate the knob to the 0 position. Turning it to other positions will turn on the parking lights, headlights, or front/rear fog lights. The beam height can be adjusted according to the vehicle's load—the higher the load, the higher the beam should be to avoid blinding oncoming drivers. If weather or lighting conditions make it difficult to see the road, do not drive with only the parking lights on, as their brightness is insufficient to illuminate the road ahead, making it hard for other drivers to see your vehicle.
I drive my Sagitar quite often, and turning on the low beams is actually pretty straightforward. After getting in the car, start the engine or turn the key to the ON position. Then, use your left hand to feel for the light control stalk on the left side of the steering wheel—it’s easy to locate by touch. A gentle twist will switch it to the low beam position, usually marked with a horizontal line icon. Just be careful not to twist it too far to the high beams, as that can blind other drivers. I always make a habit of turning on the lights early when driving at night—poor visibility can easily lead to accidents. The Sagitar’s lighting system is responsive and reliable. It’s good to practice the controls to get familiar with the feel—developing good habits can save a lot of trouble. If the lights don’t turn on, check the bulbs or fuses.
