How to Turn on the Rear Air Conditioning in the Buick GL8 Landlord?

Generally, the air conditioning control area is located in the middle of the center console. Press the "A/C" button in the right air conditioning control area to turn on the air conditioning compressor for cooling. The "AUTO" button on the left means automatic air conditioning control. Press it to achieve automatic temperature control. Rotate the knob on the left clockwise to increase the temperature and counterclockwise to decrease it. The LCD screen in the middle displays the temperature and other related information of the air conditioning. The up and down arrow buttons adjust the air volume level of the air conditioning respectively.
I remember operating the rear air conditioning in the Buick GL8 Landau was quite straightforward. As a daily user, my most common method is to first start the vehicle, then locate the air conditioning panel on the front dashboard, where there's usually a button labeled 'REAR' or '后排'—pressing it activates the rear system. Next, I adjust the fan speed and temperature using the knobs; alternatively, it’s even more convenient to use the control panel on the rear ceiling or the backseat armrest, allowing passengers to set it themselves. I’ve found that in winter, it’s best not to rush with high fan speeds in the rear—gentle warm airflow feels more comfortable. In summer, I recommend cooling down the front first before adjusting the rear. If the rear air isn’t blowing, it might be due to the fan knob being off or a blocked air duct—a quick check can prevent minor issues. Once familiar with the controls, my family always compliments the comfort, especially on long trips where the rear air conditioning significantly enhances the overall experience.
