How to turn on the outside air circulation in the Passat?

In the Passat, the outside air circulation is activated by turning off the internal circulation mode. After starting the car, press the internal circulation button on the air conditioning control panel. When the light is on, it indicates the internal circulation is activated; when the light is off, it means the outside air circulation is on. The Passat's outside air circulation can expel stale air from the car without opening the windows. The Passat is a mid-size sedan designed by Volkswagen AG in Germany, classified as a B-segment car in Volkswagen's lineup. The Passat CC offers three different power options: a 2.0TDI diesel engine, a 2.0TSI, and a 3.6FSI gasoline engine.
Turning on the exterior circulation in the Passat is actually quite simple, just two steps: locate the button on the center console with the car icon and arrows (usually the left side is for interior circulation, and the right side is for exterior circulation), then simply press to illuminate the right icon. If the air conditioning is in automatic mode, the system might switch between interior and exterior circulation on its own. In this case, to force exterior circulation, manually press this button. When the windshield fogs up on rainy days, keeping the exterior circulation on for ventilation is particularly effective, and remember to turn on the air conditioning for better dehumidification. Switching to exterior circulation before entering a highway or tunnel helps prevent the car from feeling stuffy. My 2022 model has a touch-sensitive air conditioning panel, while older models might have physical buttons, but they are all located near the air conditioning control area.
