How to Turn On the Navigation Lights?
2 Answers
After powering on, go to the vehicle settings where you can find the lighting controls. Look for the option labeled 'Daytime Running Lights' and check if it shows 'Off'. If it does, press the OK button on the right side of the steering wheel to switch it to 'On'. Then, restart the vehicle, and you will see the navigation lights on both sides illuminated when standing in front of the car.
I've been driving for over a decade, and navigation lights are essentially daytime running lights, which are quite simple to activate in most vehicles. Typically, the light control stalk is located on the left side of the steering wheel - just gently rotate it to the outermost position. The icon looks like a small light bulb. Some cars automatically turn them on when started, requiring no manual operation. Why use these lights? They help make your vehicle more visible to others during daytime driving, enhancing safety, especially in rainy or foggy conditions. If the lights don't illuminate, it might indicate a burnt-out bulb or blown fuse - have a mechanic check the wiring during regular maintenance. Remember not to confuse them with other lights: headlights require rotating to the middle position, while position lights use the outermost setting. Developing a habit of confirming their activation after starting your car will give you greater peace of mind on the road.
