To turn on the low beam headlights on a Civic, locate the light control switch on the left side of the steering wheel and rotate it forward two notches. Taking the 2019 Civic Shangyue Edition as an example, it is a compact car under Dongfeng Honda, with body dimensions of 4658mm in length, 1800mm in width, and 1416mm in height, a wheelbase of 2700mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 47 liters. The 2019 Civic Shangyue Edition is equipped with a 1.0L turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum horsepower of 125PS and a maximum power speed of 5500rpm, paired with a continuously variable transmission.

When I first bought my car, I also spent some time figuring out the Civic's light switch. Above your left leg on the driver's side, there's a knob with letters on it. Look for the one labeled AUTO with a small light bulb symbol. When driving at night, simply turn the knob clockwise all the way down until you hear a click. The green headlight icon on the dashboard will indicate that it's properly turned on. On cloudy days or when entering tunnels, the automatic sensor might fail, so you'll need to manually turn it to the icon with downward wavy lines. Remember not to turn it to the wrong position—the position light icon is a small green light, and if you turn it on incorrectly, oncoming drivers might flash their lights at you. Before turning off the engine, always remember to turn the knob back to AUTO or the off position, otherwise the battery might drain by the next day.

What does zone mean in a car?

Zone in a car refers to the air conditioning temperature zoning control, which allows setting different temperatures in different areas of the car to meet various needs. The function of air conditioning temperature zoning control is to provide a comfortable environment for drivers and passengers by setting different air conditioning temperatures and airflow levels for different areas in the car, catering to passengers with varying temperature preferences. The location of the air conditioning temperature zoning control function is in the car's control area. The working principle of the air conditioning temperature zoning control function involves adding more air conditioning dampers to divide the air ducts into finer and more sections, which are then directed to different duct zones through several mixing dampers. Each zone is controlled by multiple independent controllers.

What are the components of an automotive electrical circuit?

Automotive electrical circuits consist of the power supply circuit, starting circuit, ignition circuit, lighting and signal device circuit, instrument information system circuit, auxiliary device circuit, and electronic control system circuit. The characteristics of automotive circuits include dual power sources, single-wire system, parallel connection of electrical components, and relays and switches connected in series within the circuit. Most electrical devices in a vehicle are protected by fuses, and the entire vehicle's electrical system is divided into several independent circuit systems based on function and working principles. This approach addresses the complexity and difficulty in analyzing the entire vehicle's electrical system. Additionally, each electrical device is equipped with its own fuse to prevent wire harness damage and potential accidents caused by short circuits.

How Many Liters of Engine Oil Does a Honda 2.4 Need?

Honda 2.4 uses approximately 4 liters of engine oil. After adding the oil, start the engine; the new oil filter needs to be filled with oil before the accurate oil level can be displayed. Engine Oil Classification: Generally, there are mineral oil, semi-synthetic oil, and fully synthetic oil. Mineral oil is the most common lubricant on the market, which is derived from the refining process of crude oil where useful substances like gasoline and aviation oil are distilled out, and then the remaining bright oil is further processed and extracted. Functions of Engine Oil: The primary function of engine oil is lubrication. Inside the engine, oil provides lubrication to pistons, bearings, and other moving parts, reducing friction and preventing wear and tear of components.

Is Gear Oil the Same as Transmission Oil?

Gear oil and transmission oil are essentially the same, but they are referred to differently based on their application locations. Gear oil is typically used in gear transmission mechanisms such as automotive steering gears, transmissions, and drive axles. Transmission oil is a lubricant that maintains the cleanliness of a vehicle's transmission. Due to the high surface pressure during gear transmission, gear oil plays a crucial role in lubricating gears, resisting wear, cooling, heat dissipation, preventing corrosion and rust, cleaning, reducing gear surface impact and noise, among other functions. Transmission oil is a lubricant that ensures the cleanliness of a vehicle's transmission, guaranteeing normal operation and extending the lifespan of the transmission system. Depending on the transmission structure, it is further categorized into automatic transmission fluid (ATF) and manual transmission oil.

Does the Jetta VS5 have child locks?

Jetta VS5 has child locks. They are located on the edge of the rear doors. Introduction to Child Locks: Car child locks, also known as child safety door locks, are installed on the rear door locks. After opening the rear door, there is a small lever (safety mechanism) below the door lock. Move the lever toward the end with the child icon, then close the door. At this point, the door cannot be opened from the inside and can only be opened from the outside. Function of Child Locks: When children are seated in the rear seats, child locks can prevent active and unaware children from opening the door during driving, thereby avoiding danger. In this case, the door can only be opened from the outside by an adult after the car has stopped.

How to Maintain a Car?

The maintenance methods for a car are divided into regular maintenance, periodic maintenance, and major maintenance. Regular maintenance refers to the routine maintenance performed every 5,000 kilometers, which includes changing the engine oil and oil filter, checking the fuel filter, air filter, etc. Each time, it is essential to inspect whether the brake discs and pads need replacement, whether the brake fluid needs replenishment, and the condition of the tires. Periodic maintenance is performed every 3 years or every 40,000 kilometers. In addition to regular maintenance, it also involves cleaning the fuel injectors, throttle body, and the vehicle's intake system, as well as replacing the transmission oil, front and rear axle oil, coolant, brake fluid, etc. The tire wear should also be checked, and tires should be replaced if necessary. Major maintenance is conducted after the vehicle has traveled 100,000 kilometers, involving a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle and replacement of parts as needed. This includes checking the wiring, transmission mechanism, etc.
