How to turn on the lights of a Lavida car?

Turn the left light control switch forward one notch to activate the parking lights, also known as side marker lights. Turn it forward twice to activate the low beam, primarily used for urban night driving. Push the light control lever forward once to activate the high beam, used for driving on roads outside urban areas at night.
The lighting controls in the Lavida are actually quite straightforward. Over my decades of driving, I've developed a habit with them. There's a rotary knob on the left side of the steering wheel – turning it to different positions controls the lights: rotating it back to 0 turns the lights off, AUTO is the automatic mode where the lights turn on based on ambient light, which is particularly convenient; turning it to ON manually activates the lights, suitable for nighttime or rainy conditions when manual control is preferred. As part of the Volkswagen family, the Lavida's lighting design is quite intelligent. The daytime running lights usually come on by default when starting the car, but the main headlights still need to be activated as needed, such as when entering tunnels or in low-light conditions. I always make it a habit to turn the knob immediately to avoid blurred vision affecting safety. After all, when the lights are off, others can easily overlook your car's presence, increasing the risk of accidents. Developing this small habit can greatly enhance the driving experience, especially for beginners. Don't worry about it being troublesome – you'll get the hang of it after a few tries.
