The button for the high beam is located on the left control lever, which is on the driver's side. Simply push the lever forward. When the high beam is on, the lever will automatically reset after releasing it. Pulling the lever back turns off the high beam and switches back to the low beam.

What Does Cylinder Topping Mean?

Cylinder topping refers to the situation where the connecting rod becomes excessively long due to excessive clearance in the connecting rod, causing it to hit the engine cylinder when the engine is running. Causes of engine cylinder topping: Broken spring: The intake or exhaust valve spring breaks, causing the valve to fall into the cylinder; it may also be due to hard objects falling into the combustion chamber. Excessive gasket thickness: During an overhaul, the connecting rod bearing replacement is too thick, or the gasket is too thick; or the piston geometric dimensions do not meet the requirements. Cylinder gasket failure: Frequent cylinder gasket failures can damage the cylinder block surface, and excessive repair can cause the piston to exceed the cylinder block surface when it reaches the top dead center, leading to cylinder topping. Poor fuel quality: The cause of engine cylinder topping may be the use of low-quality fuel by the owner, which causes the fuel to solidify near the valve stem after the engine is turned off, resulting in the valve sticking when the engine is cold and causing cylinder topping upon startup.

Is it necessary to do maintenance at a 4S shop?

If the car is within the warranty period, it is recommended to go to a 4S shop for maintenance; if the car is out of the warranty period, you can choose to go to a 4S shop or other repair shops for car maintenance. Car maintenance items: Car maintenance mainly includes the engine system (engine), transmission system, air conditioning system, cooling system, fuel system, power steering system, etc. Among them, the content of minor maintenance is to replace engine oil, oil filter, intake filter, air conditioning filter, etc.; major maintenance items include transmission oil, engine spark plugs, timing belts, etc.; at the same time, replace brake fluid, brake pads, engine coolant, and vehicle tires. Precautions for car maintenance: If the user does not go to the designated 4S shop or the manufacturer's designated authorized repair shop for regular maintenance within the specified mileage after purchasing a new car, even if it is within the warranty period, the user will have to pay a certain amount of repair costs if problems occur.

What Are the Reasons for Increased Car Noise?

Reasons for increased car noise include insufficient engine oil, poor fuel combustion, and premature fuel supply timing. Insufficient engine oil: Various components cannot receive normal lubrication, and wear leads to increased engine noise. Adding engine oil can solve the problem. Poor fuel combustion: Low injection pressure, fuel injector dripping, poor fuel atomization, and delayed fuel supply timing can all cause poor fuel combustion, leading to knocking and increased engine noise. The fuel injector should be removed for inspection and adjustment, and the fuel supply timing should be adjusted. If necessary, replace the parts to meet the specifications. Premature fuel supply timing: When the piston movement has not reached the specified position, the fuel injector starts injecting fuel, causing premature fuel combustion. High-pressure gas in the cylinder impacts the piston, producing a rhythmic sound. This issue can be resolved by adjusting the fuel supply timing.

Can the Geely Thor Hybrid get a green license plate?

Geely Thor Hybrid is a hybrid electric vehicle and cannot get a green license plate. Conditions for obtaining a green license plate: Purchasing a new energy vehicle allows you to get a green license plate, including four major types: hybrid electric vehicles (HEV), battery electric vehicles (BEV, including solar cars), fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV), and other new energy vehicles (such as supercapacitors, flywheels, and other high-efficiency energy storage devices). Process for obtaining a green license plate: Open the traffic management bureau website, log in to the local website, select business processing, choose new energy vehicle license plate pre-selection, enter the pre-selection section to select your vehicle, click the confirm button below, submit for review and make an appointment, schedule a processing time, return to the business processing section, and select new energy vehicle license plate reissuance appointment. Start the appointment, choose a time and vehicle management office for license plate issuance, and pick up the license plate at the scheduled time.

How Many Liters of Engine Oil Are Needed for Maintenance?

When performing maintenance on a car, the amount of engine oil to be added depends on the type of engine. Generally, small-displacement vehicles require 3.2-3.6 liters of engine oil per maintenance session, while larger-displacement engines need approximately 4.5 liters. Changing the engine oil ensures the normal operation of the engine and also provides sealing to prevent leaks, as well as protection against rust and corrosion. Although under normal circumstances, the consumption of engine oil is minimal, the oxidation of esters and polyolefins in the oil, along with wear particles from engine components entering the oil, can reduce the oil's lifespan and cause internal components to degrade. Therefore, regular replacement during maintenance is necessary. When adding engine oil, it is important to ensure that the amount added is slightly below the mark on the dipstick. Exceeding the upper limit on the dipstick can increase the rotational resistance of the crankshaft and reduce the engine's output power.

How many liters of engine oil does a Mercedes-Benz C200 need?

Mercedes-Benz C200 generally requires 7 liters of engine oil, and the oil level should be maintained between the minimum and maximum marks on the dipstick. Precautions for adding engine oil to Mercedes-Benz C200: Check for leaks: After completing the oil change, it is necessary to check whether there are any leaks at the oil drain plug of the oil pan and the sealing interface of the oil filter. If leaks are found, tighten them appropriately and then run the engine to check again; if leaks persist after tightening, the cause should be identified and new parts should be replaced and reassembled. Selecting engine oil: Choose engine oil with different viscosities according to temperature variations: If the engine of the Mercedes-Benz C200 is in good condition and the temperature is low, choose engine oil with lower viscosity; if the engine of the Mercedes-Benz C200 is severely worn and the seasonal temperature is high, choose engine oil with higher viscosity.
