How to Turn on the High Beam in Lavida?

Lavida's method for turning on the high beam is: The high beam control switch is located on the combination light lever on the left side of the steering wheel. To turn on the high beam, first turn on the low beam via the light knob, then press the combination light lever downward to activate the high beam, with the high beam indicator on the dashboard lighting up simultaneously. The Lavida is a compact car with dimensions of 4670mm in length, 1806mm in width, and 1474mm in height, a wheelbase of 2688mm, a fuel tank capacity of 51 liters, and a trunk capacity of 510 liters. It is powered by a 1.4T turbocharged engine delivering a maximum horsepower of 150PS and a maximum power of 110kW, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
To activate the high beams on the Volkswagen Lavida, my experience is to start with the light control stalk on the left side of the steering wheel: first, turn the knob to the middle position or inward to switch on the low beams, at which point an indicator should light up on the dashboard. Then, gently push the stalk all the way forward to turn on the high beams; a blue icon will appear on the dashboard. To switch back to low beams, simply pull the stalk back. I often use this function during long-distance night driving, especially on unlit sections of highways, as the high beams help me see the road conditions over a hundred meters ahead. However, remember not to keep them on in urban areas or when meeting other vehicles, as it can easily dazzle other drivers. Regularly checking the condition of the bulbs is also important. If the high beams don’t light up after being turned on, it might be due to a burnt-out bulb or wiring issues. Replacing the bulb yourself isn’t difficult, or you can have a mechanic fix it.
