Method to turn on the heater in NIO ES6: First start the engine for preheating, wait until the engine temperature pointer reaches the middle position, then turn on the heating air conditioning. At the same time, set the air circulation to external circulation to expel the cold air inside the car. After waiting for 2 to 3 minutes, set the air circulation to internal circulation. The car's heating system can heat the air inside the car or the air drawn from outside into the car, thereby increasing the interior temperature. There are many types of car heating systems, which can be divided into hot water heating systems, gas heating systems, and exhaust heating systems based on different heat sources. Currently, small cars mainly use hot water heating systems, while large vehicles mainly use gas heating systems. In terms of body dimensions, the car has a length, width, and height of 4850mm, 1965mm, and 1758mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2900mm.

When I first got my NIO ES6, the first thing I did in winter was turn on the heater, which was super easy to operate. After starting the car, I'd find the air conditioning control icon on the main screen and tap it, then simply slide the temperature slider to the right to a higher setting, like above 20°C, and the system would automatically start blowing warm air. If I didn’t want to fuss with settings, pressing the AUTO button would intelligently adjust the temperature and fan speed, warming up the cabin pretty quickly. I also made it a habit to check the recirculation mode to ensure heat retention, especially when stuck in traffic—using the heater this way also helped prevent fogging on the windows. Overall, the ES6’s climate control responds quickly, and while it does increase power consumption a bit, it’s not excessive, making long drives especially comfortable.

Turning on the ES6's heater is straightforward—just a few steps. Start the car, bring up the air conditioning interface on the screen, set the temperature to a higher value like the 20s (°C), and the car will automatically switch to heating mode. You can also manually adjust the fan speed, but the auto mode is more convenient and energy-efficient. The key is to adjust the temperature according to the weather—avoid setting it too high to prevent a rapid increase in power consumption, which could affect the range. Using the heater in winter has many benefits, like defogging and improving driving comfort, especially when it's freezing. Just remember to check if the windows are properly sealed while operating it.

Operating the heater in the NIO ES6 is very intuitive. After starting the vehicle, tap on the air conditioning settings on the touchscreen, slide the temperature to a higher setting such as above 22 degrees, and the system will immediately blow warm air. It is recommended to use the automatic function, which automatically balances the airflow according to the temperature difference inside and outside the car, saving you the trouble of manual adjustments. This way, the car warms up quickly without wasting electricity, making children more comfortable when driving with them. Setting the temperature at a moderate level can avoid dryness, and it's also good to pay attention to the direction of the air vents to avoid blowing directly on the face, which could affect safety.

The heating system of the NIO ES6 is primarily controlled via the touchscreen. After starting the vehicle, enter the air conditioning interface and increase the target temperature. The vehicle's system will detect the temperature difference and activate the heating elements to generate and output warm air. You can choose automatic mode or manually adjust the fan speed for efficient and convenient operation while also considering energy consumption. Setting a reasonable temperature optimizes the cabin environment, and using the external air circulation helps maintain fresh air. When operating, don't overlook the battery status to prevent insufficient charge from affecting driving.
