How to Turn on the External Circulation in the Lingpai?

Press the straight-line graphic button to activate the external circulation. On the Lingpai car's air conditioning control panel, there are two car-shaped images or graphics: the straight line represents the external circulation, while the curved line indicates the internal circulation. Generally, the internal circulation is used during traffic jams, and the external circulation is used during high-speed driving. Additionally, the use of internal and external circulation should be combined with air conditioning and heating. Below is some extended knowledge about external circulation: 1. By using the external circulation, you can breathe fresh air from outside the car. During long high-speed drives, the air inside the car can become stale, making passengers uncomfortable. Since opening the windows is not an option, switching to external circulation can bring in fresh air. 2. If it's too hot, you can turn off the fan and open the external circulation. This maintains the interior temperature while allowing fresh air to enter, creating a more comfortable environment. However, if the air conditioning is being used to cool the car, avoid keeping the external circulation on continuously. Instead, switch it on periodically to refresh the air. 3. Some people complain about poor cooling performance in summer, often because the system is unintentionally set to external circulation. In this mode, hot air from outside continuously enters the car, preventing the temperature from dropping. For optimal cooling, always set the system to internal circulation. If the weather isn't too hot, adjusting the air conditioning and switching to external circulation can provide both cool air and fresh air, enhancing comfort.
When I first drove the Lingpai, it took me some time to figure out the air conditioning system. To activate the external air circulation, it's actually quite simple: locate the circulation toggle button on the AC panel near the steering wheel, usually marked with a car icon or arrows pointing into the car. Press the button once, and if the light is off, it means the external circulation mode is on. I prefer using this mode when driving in rainy weather or out in the countryside because it brings in fresh air, especially effective for defogging, keeping the windshield clear. Don't forget about the AC filter during regular maintenance—if it's too dirty, it can obstruct airflow and affect comfort. Developing a habit of regular cleaning ensures the interior stays fresh.
