How to Turn on the Cooling in a BMW Car?

To activate the cooling in a BMW, simply press the AC button, which serves as the air conditioning system's cooling switch. Here are the relevant details: 1. After pressing the AC button, the compressor clutch engages, allowing the engine to drive the compressor. The compressor then continuously compresses the refrigerant and delivers it to the evaporator. 2. Inside the evaporator, the refrigerant expands repeatedly, absorbing heat in the process. This heat absorption cools the evaporator, which in turn cools the air blown by the blower, resulting in cold air being emitted from the air vents. 3. When using the vehicle's air conditioning for heating, there's no need to press the AC button. Simply adjust the temperature to a higher setting and select an appropriate fan speed for heating.
When I first drove a BMW, I also had to figure out the cooling settings. Press the AC button with the snowflake symbol on the center console, and when the light turns on, it means the cooling is activated. Rotate the silver knob on the driver's left side to adjust the temperature—I usually set it to 22°C for the most comfort. Don’t forget to press the AUTO button to let the system automatically adjust the airflow, which is much more convenient than manual control. If the windshield fogs up, press the defogger button. If the car has rear independent air conditioning, remember to check if the rear air vents are open. Use the external air circulation for ventilation on highways, and switch to internal circulation in traffic jams to avoid exhaust fumes. Last time when I picked up a client, this trick kept the car fresh all the way.
