To turn on the cold air in Honda XRV, press the A/C button. Honda XRV air conditioning button extensions: 1. The left and right sides are for adjusting the cold and warm air for the driver and passenger respectively, with blue representing cold air and red representing warm air. 2. Adjust both sides to the lowest blue area. 3. A/C air conditioning switch button. 4. To the left of A/C is the adjustment for air volume, adjust the air volume to a suitable level. Air conditioning cooling principle extensions: 1. After the air conditioner is powered on, the low-pressure vapor of the refrigerant in the refrigeration system is sucked in by the compressor and compressed into high-pressure vapor, which is then discharged to the condenser. 2. The axial fan draws in outdoor air to flow through the condenser, taking away the heat released by the refrigerant, causing the high-pressure refrigerant vapor to condense into high-pressure liquid. 3. The outdoor air undergoes heat exchange and becomes medium-temperature and medium-pressure refrigerant liquid, which enters the evaporator after being throttled and depressurized by the capillary tube, and evaporates under the corresponding low pressure, absorbing the surrounding heat.
When I first started driving the Honda XRV, learning to turn on the cold air was quite easy. First, start the engine by turning the ignition. Locate the air conditioning control panel near the dashboard—there's an A/C button. Press it, and when the light turns on, it means the cooling is activated. Then, turn the temperature knob to the blue zone. I usually set it around 18 degrees, which feels quite cool. The automatic mode adjusts the fan speed on its own, but if the airflow is too strong, you can press the minus button to reduce it. When using the cold air, I prefer the recirculation mode, as it cools the cabin faster, especially during hot weather, making it comfortable within minutes before heading out. Regularly cleaning the air filter also ensures fresher airflow and prevents unpleasant odors. The whole process takes less than 10 seconds—simple and hassle-free.
