How to Turn on the Car's Windshield Wipers?

The wiper switch for the vast majority of models on sale is located on the right-hand stalk behind the steering wheel, all in the form of a stalk. For example, the GAC Fiat Viaggio and Mercedes-Benz models have their wiper switches positioned differently from other models, being located on the left-hand stalk. The wiper stalk, similar to the light stalk, is printed with many function symbols. Different brands have varying symbols and positions, but the functions are generally similar. Some models allow adjustment of the automatic intermittent wiper settings, enabling the wiper speed to vary according to the vehicle's speed.
When I first started driving, I also couldn't figure out where the windshield wiper switch was. Later, I found out that in most cars, it's operated by the lever on the right side of the steering wheel. Pushing the lever up activates a single wipe, gently pressing it down one notch sets it to slow continuous wiping, pressing it down with medium force to the second notch is normal speed, and pressing it all the way down is fast wiping. There's a knob at the top of the lever - turning it sprays windshield washer fluid. Be careful not to confuse it with the turn signal lever. Some older cars have a separate button near the instrument panel - look for the fan-shaped icon. When you can't see the road clearly in rain, quickly use the low-speed setting. Remember to use the fast setting in heavy rain. If there are insect remains or bird droppings on the windshield, first use the washer fluid to soften them before wiping.
