To turn on the car rearview mirror heating, locate the rearview mirror adjustment button on the left front door and press the heating button. The rearview mirror heating function ensures clear visibility by using heating wires embedded behind the mirror to defog or defrost the surface during rainy, snowy, or foggy weather. The adjustment methods for rearview mirrors are as follows: 1. For the center rearview mirror, adjust the horizon reflection to the center of the mirror and the reflection of the right ear to the left edge of the mirror. 2. For the left rearview mirror, adjust the horizon reflection to the center of the mirror and the reflection of the left side of the car body to occupy one-quarter of the mirror's right side. 3. For the right rearview mirror, adjust the horizon reflection to two-thirds of the mirror's height and the reflection of the right side of the car body to occupy one-quarter of the mirror's left side.
The rearview mirror heating switch on my old car was located near the air conditioning panel, featuring a button with wavy lines and a square frame, placed next to the windshield defroster button. Nowadays, most new models integrate this function into the central touchscreen, requiring navigation to the accessory control section within the air conditioning settings. It's most useful for defrosting in winter, but remember not to activate this function before starting the engine, as it can easily drain the battery. The defogging effect is quite noticeable in rainy conditions, clearing the mirror surface in about five minutes. However, it's advisable not to use it continuously for more than 20 minutes to prevent overheating and potential damage to the heating element. By the way, most new energy vehicles now come with an automatic mode that activates upon sensing rain, making it much more convenient.
