How to Turn on the Car Heater?

Method to turn on the car heater: 1. For manual air conditioning: After warming up the car, wait until the water temperature rises to the normal level, then rotate the air volume button (no need to press the AC button); 2. For automatic air conditioning: After warming up the car, wait until the water temperature rises to the normal level, then rotate the temperature button (also no need to press the AC button). Precautions for using the car heater: 1. Do not turn on the heater immediately after getting in the car; 2. After entering the car, first turn on the external circulation to allow the cold air inside to flow out, which will help with the subsequent heating effect; 3. The AC button represents the air conditioning compressor, which is used for cooling in summer. The principle of winter heating is different from summer cooling, so there is no need to press the AC button. The heater works through heat exchange from components like the radiator and exhaust pipe. The principle is that the engine's cooling system dissipates heat from the engine, and then the car's blower directs this heat into the cabin, effectively recycling waste heat.
Before turning on the heater, make sure the engine coolant has warmed up, otherwise you'll just get cold air blowing for a while. I usually wait about three to five minutes after starting the car until the temperature gauge reaches the middle position before operating. Find the temperature knob on the AC panel and turn it all the way to the red side - the red zone usually represents heat. Then press the fan button to increase airflow, choosing either foot-level or foot-level plus windshield mode for best results. Remember not to turn on the AC switch - that activates the cooling compressor, which would waste fuel without providing warmth. If the windows fog up, you can use the front defroster separately, which automatically uses warm air to dry the glass. However, recirculation mode is recommended only when first turning on the heater; switch to fresh air mode once the cabin is warm to ensure proper ventilation.
