The method to turn on the automatic wipers of a car is: First, enter the car and check the position of the wiper. You can see a button at the top of the wiper with an 'A' sign next to it. Here, the 'A' sign stands for automatic. Gently press the button, and notice that a small green light will turn on next to the button. At this point, the automatic wipers will be activated. The wiper is a blade-like structure installed in front of the windshield, consisting of a motor, reducer, four-bar linkage, wiper arm spindle, wiper blade assembly, etc. Its main function is to clear rain, snow, and dust from the windshield that obstruct the view.

As a veteran driver with over ten years of experience, I can tell you that automatic wipers are incredibly convenient! Look closely at the control stalk on the right side of the steering wheel—when you push it up or down, you'll find a setting marked AUTO or with a raindrop symbol. Just switch to that position. The sensor, located at the top center of the windshield, detects the intensity of the rain. When you first use this feature, you might find it overly sensitive, especially on highways where splashing water can trigger false readings. Remember to regularly clean the small black square area at the top of the windshield—dust buildup can interfere with the sensor. On rainy days, this feature is a lifesaver, allowing you to keep your eyes on the road without fiddling with the wiper controls.

I just picked up my new car last month, and the salesperson specifically taught me how to use the automatic wipers. Look for the AUTO mark on the wiper control stalk on the right side of the steering wheel—some cars have a small raindrop icon instead. Just give it a gentle flick to activate it, and an indicator light will illuminate on the dashboard. While driving, as soon as raindrops hit the windshield, the wipers will start working automatically. I recommend new owners test the sensitivity first—many cars have a 1-2-3 adjustment ring to fine-tune responsiveness for light, moderate, or heavy rain. Once you get used to this feature, rainy days become super hassle-free, and rearview mirror visibility improves significantly.

The automatic wiper switch is located on the right-hand stalk of the steering wheel. Simply move the stalk to the AUTO position, and the front sensor will automatically scan the rainfall to adjust the speed. In daily use, remember not to block the black sensor area behind the interior rearview mirror. If you suddenly encounter heavy rain and feel the wipers are too slow, you can temporarily increase the speed manually. This system is very intelligent—it uses intermittent wipes to conserve wiper blades in light rain and increases frequency for safety and reliability in heavy rain.
