How to Turn on the Air Conditioning When the Car Windows Fog Up on Rainy Summer Days?

Turn on the AC and adjust the temperature to a suitable level. Adjust the air vents to a position where they are not blowing directly on the windows; a few minutes should suffice.
When driving in rainy summer weather, I often encounter fogging on the car windows that obstructs visibility. This usually happens due to the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the car, causing moisture to condense on the glass. I immediately turn on the air conditioning by pressing the A/C button to activate the cooling mode, which quickly dehumidifies the air. I adjust the airflow direction to blow toward the windshield and increase the fan speed. First, I use the external air circulation to draw in dry outside air, blowing for a few minutes to clear the fog, then switch to internal circulation to maintain a dry environment. Setting the temperature around 22 degrees Celsius is ideal—too low might be uncomfortable but improves dehumidification. During this process, I keep the windows tightly closed to prevent rain from splashing in and turn on the wipers to maintain a clear view ahead. Safety always comes first; if fog obstructs my view of the road, I slow down and pull over carefully. Regular maintenance of the air conditioning system, including cleaning the filters to prevent blockages, also helps reduce fogging issues. Developing these habits ensures a safer and more comfortable drive.
