How to Turn on the Air Conditioning in Baojun 730?

The air conditioning control area for the Baojun 730 is located at the lower center of the center console. There is an indicator light on the A/C button; when the light is on, it means the air conditioning compressor is activated. The knob on the left is for adjusting the air conditioning temperature—turn it clockwise to increase the temperature and counterclockwise to decrease it. The knob in the middle is for adjusting the direction of the air vents.
After driving the Baojun 730 for several years, I've developed a set of methods for using the air conditioning. Don't rush to turn it on immediately after starting the engine; wait a few dozen seconds to let the engine warm up. Then locate the air conditioning button on the center console, usually marked with an AC or snowflake icon, and press it to turn on (the light will indicate it's active). Turn the temperature knob toward the cooler side and set the fan speed knob to the middle setting—avoid setting it too high to prevent excessive engine load. In winter, remember to use the air conditioning for defogging by pressing the same button. I often start with recirculation mode to cool the cabin faster, then switch to fresh air mode for ventilation. Regularly check if the air filter is clean; a clogged filter reduces cooling efficiency and increases fuel consumption. Turn off the air conditioning a few minutes before parking to reduce the compressor's workload. In summer, ventilate the car by opening the doors for a minute before closing the windows and turning on the cooling for better efficiency.
As a daily user of the Baojun 730, I find it quite easy to use the air conditioning. After starting the car and waiting a few seconds for the engine to stabilize, simply press the AC button on the center console to turn it on. Adjust the temperature to your desired level using the knob—I prefer setting it around 23°C, which feels just right. Controlling the fan speed is also straightforward by turning the fan knob. If the vehicle has an auto mode, pressing the AUTO button will automatically manage the temperature and fan speed, making it super convenient. After turning on the AC, remember to adjust the vent direction to avoid blowing directly at your face, and switch to external circulation to maintain airflow and prevent stuffiness. Before parking, turn off the AC in advance to save fuel. Also, don’t forget to clean the filter regularly to avoid odors and ensure a comfortable driving experience.
