How to Turn On the Air Conditioning in an Older Citroën Model?

Press the AC switch, and adjust the temperature by turning the left button towards the blue area, with the middle position representing a moderate temperature. Turn the temperature button towards the red area for heating, and note that you do not need to turn on the AC switch when using the heater. Avoid smoking in the car with the air conditioning on, as the smoke cannot dissipate quickly, irritating the eyes and respiratory system, which is harmful to health.
I remember being a bit flustered the first time I turned on the air conditioning in an old Citroën, but it's actually quite simple. First, you need to start the car's engine, then locate the air conditioning button area on the center console. Those older models usually have an A/C switch—press it to activate the cooling function. Next, turn the temperature knob to a cooler setting, or to the warm air zone in winter. The fan speed control knob is right beside it; a gentle twist adjusts the airflow intensity. If no air comes out of the vents, don’t forget to check if the fan switch is on. After turning on the AC, I recommend cleaning the filter as well—older cars tend to accumulate dust, which affects air quality. If the AC runs smoothly, the ride becomes much more comfortable, which is why I check the filter every week.
