How to Turn on the Air Conditioning in a Lavida?
1 Answers
The air conditioning control panel of the Volkswagen Lavida is located in the center of the dashboard. Rotate the air conditioning knob to the A/C direction (far left), then adjust the fan speed and press the A/C button to activate cooling. After turning on the A/C, the refrigerant absorbs a large amount of heat from the surrounding environment. The low-temperature, low-pressure gaseous refrigerant is then drawn back into the air conditioning compressor to begin the next cooling cycle. This process repeats continuously, gradually lowering the temperature inside the vehicle. Below are solutions for when the air conditioning fails to cool: Check whether the air conditioning pump can start and operate normally, and verify if the refrigerant level is adequate. If the air conditioning pump cannot start, there may be an issue with the related control circuit, or the system may lack refrigerant, causing the pump to enter a protective state. By connecting a pressure gauge, you can observe the working pressure in the high and low-pressure lines to diagnose the issue. Additionally, the observation window on the high-pressure line provides a clear way to check whether the refrigerant level is normal.
