How to Turn on the Air Conditioning in a BYD Car?

To turn on the air conditioning in a BYD car, press the AC button inside the vehicle. Rotate the temperature knob clockwise to increase the air outlet temperature, and counterclockwise to decrease it. BYD is a Chinese automobile brand that offers a range of high, mid, and low-end series of fuel-powered cars, as well as dual-mode electric vehicles and pure electric vehicles. The BYD lineup includes models such as the BYD Han, BYD Tang, BYD Song, BYD Song PLUS, BYD Song Pro, BYD F3, Surui, Qin New Energy, Flyer, Surui, BYD S1, BYD M6, BYD e5, and more.
When I first bought my BYD, I didn't know how to turn on the air conditioning either, but I found it quite simple after some exploration. After starting the car, locate the air conditioning control area on the center console panel—there's usually a prominent button labeled A/C or with a snowflake icon. Press it once to activate the cooling function. If it's an automatic air conditioning model, pressing the AUTO button is even more convenient, as it automatically adjusts the fan speed based on the cabin temperature and your settings. In manual mode, use the knob to adjust the temperature and the up/down buttons to control the airflow intensity. Remember to start the engine before turning on the air conditioning, otherwise the system won't receive power. I also recommend cleaning the air conditioning filter regularly, such as every six months, to prevent dust buildup from affecting efficiency and ensuring fresher air when the AC is on. In winter, if you want warm air, you don't need to press A/C—just turn up the temperature knob. But in summer, this isn't an issue.
