How to Turn On Low Beam and High Beam?
2 Answers
The switch for high beam and low beam is located on the left-hand stalk of the steering wheel. The middle position is for low beam, while the first and third positions are for high beam. The high beam indicator is blue with a straight line shape, while the low beam indicator is green with a downward-sloping line. Both high beam and low beam are part of the headlights, primarily used for nighttime driving illumination. The high beam has a higher angle and longer illumination distance, suitable for poorly lit roads with no streetlights. The low beam has a lower angle and shorter distance, often used on well-lit roads with good visibility. In addition to headlights, the vehicle's lighting system also includes parking lights, brake lights, fog lights, etc., each serving different purposes.
I usually like to share some driving tips. To turn on the low beams, you operate the lever on the left side of the steering wheel. Find the light knob and turn it once to switch to low beam mode, usually indicated by a small light symbol. You can adjust it directly after starting the car. Turning on the high beams is even simpler—just push the lever forward to turn them on, and they'll automatically turn off when you release it. High beams are suitable for lighting in suburban or highway areas at night. However, avoid using high beams indiscriminately in the city, as they can dazzle oncoming drivers and pose a danger. I've even seen some drivers get fined by traffic police for forgetting to turn off their high beams. Remember to regularly check if the bulbs and switches are functioning properly to avoid malfunctions affecting driving safety. With a bit of practice, these daily routines will become second nature.
