Here are the steps to turn on car lights: 1. Position lights: Turn the light knob clockwise once to activate the position lights, dashboard lights, and button indicator lights. 2. Low beam headlights: Continue turning the light knob clockwise to turn on the low beam headlights. 3. Front fog lights: Pull the button outward one notch to turn on the front fog lights. 4. Rear fog lights: Pull the button outward another notch to turn on the rear fog lights simultaneously. 5. High beam headlights: Push the light combination lever on the left side of the steering wheel forward to activate the high beam headlights. Pull the lever back to its original position to turn off the high beams; pull the lever backward and release to switch between high and low beams momentarily. 6. Turn signals: Push the light combination lever upward to flash the right turn signal; push it downward to flash the left turn signal.
When I first started driving, I didn't know how to turn on the lights either. It took me a long time to figure out that there's a knob on the left side of the steering wheel. Turning it to the middle position activates the low beam headlights, which must be on at night or in tunnels, otherwise you can't see the road clearly. Automatic headlights are more convenient—just press a button or turn to AUTO mode after starting the vehicle, and the system controls the lights automatically. Don't forget to turn on the front fog lights in rainy or foggy weather; usually, you just need to push or pull a switch below the knob. Turning off the lights is also important—remember to switch back to OFF before turning off the engine, or the battery will slowly drain. Once, I left the lights on all night, and the battery was so drained that the car wouldn't start. It's a good habit to check the light settings before each drive. You'll get the hang of it after a few tries.
