How to Turn Off the Traction Control System?

Traction control system can be turned off by pressing the TCS OFF button, and the indicator light will illuminate when successfully deactivated. The working principle of the traction control system is: 1. Based on the vehicle's driving conditions, appropriate control algorithms are employed to maintain the slip rate of the driving wheels within the normal range as much as possible; 2. It enables the vehicle to maximize the utilization of the engine's driving torque under adverse road conditions or complex driving scenarios, ensuring rapid and stable vehicle starting and acceleration. The traction control system consists of: 1. Sensors that detect wheel speed and transmit the signals to the ABS and ASR electronic control units; 2. The ASR controller sends commands to the sub-throttle actuator, which then controls the engine fuel supply system or ignition timing, or adjusts the braking pressure.
Last time I took my new car for a test drive and tried turning off the traction control. The method was simple: just find the button labeled TC or ESC OFF on the car and press it once to turn it off, but the dashboard will light up to show the off status. After turning it off, I felt the power go directly to the wheels, allowing them to spin. In certain situations like snow or muddy roads, it can make the car easier to control, but the risk increases significantly as it may cause skidding or loss of control. So, I only turn it off in open areas like parking lots when practicing drifting or during off-road hill climbs to enjoy the fun of handling. But normally, I keep the system on for safety first, as it automatically adjusts power to prevent wheel spin and ensures driving safety. Don’t turn it off easily on the road, especially during rainy days or high-speed turns, as it’s easy to cause accidents.
