How to turn off the rear wiper of Geely Boyue?

There is a button on the top of the Geely Boyue, pressing it flat turns off the wiper. Lift the handle upwards, and the front windshield washer sprays water while the wiper operates. After releasing the handle, the washer stops spraying water, and the wiper resets after a few more wipes. Below are some maintenance tips for the wiper: 1. When using the wiper to remove dust from the windshield on sunny days, spray glass cleaner instead of dry wiping. 2. If there are other stubborn or hard contaminants on the glass, clean them manually. These can easily damage the wiper blades and, in severe cases, affect the wiper motor. 3. During winter use, first remove ice debris from the windshield with an ice scraper to avoid putting extra strain on the wiper.
My neighbor just got a new Boyue and asked me the same thing the other day. When you're in the driver's seat, look at the wiper stalk on the right side of the steering wheel. The rotating knob at the end of that stalk controls the rear window. Turn it clockwise once for intermittent wiping, twice for continuous wiping. But most importantly, twist it counterclockwise back to the 'O' position to turn it off. Remember to glance at the rear window after turning it off to confirm the wiper has stopped, so you don't leave the motor running idle. If you need to stop it temporarily—like when you're wiping the glass and suddenly enter an underground garage—just twist it back to the O position. Super convenient.
When I first got the car, I also spent a while looking for it! On the right side of the steering wheel, there's a stalk with a rotary knob, right? The rear wiper switch has three settings on that knob: turning it all the way is continuous mode, the middle position is intermittent, and fully counterclockwise until it aligns flat with the dashboard is off. Key point: When turning it off, make sure the small triangle marker on the side of the knob aligns with the notch on the scale. Sometimes if it's not aligned properly, it might still be in low-speed mode—many people think it's off when it's actually still wiping. By the way, don’t look for the switch on the infotainment screen; the Boyue controls this function entirely via physical buttons.
Here's a tip: You don't even need to look down. When driving, rest your right hand naturally on the steering wheel, and your ring finger can just reach the cylindrical end of the right stalk. Use your fingertip to rotate the knob counterclockwise, and release immediately upon hearing a faint 'click'—that means it's off. Remember to apply some force when turning, as this knob has a detent feel. If the wipers are still moving, chances are you didn't turn it all the way. The older Boyue required pressing the stalk downward to turn off, while the current model has simplified it to a pure rotary knob.
