How to Turn Off the Power with One-Key Start?

Press the start button repeatedly to turn on the power. Activate the system and start the engine. Move the gear lever to the P position. After shifting to P, press the start button once more to turn off the power.
After driving for so many years, I'm used to the one-button start feature. When you press the button once to power on the car (meaning the dashboard lights up but the engine isn't started) and want to turn it off, it's simple—just press the start button again. The whole system is cyclical: off -> acc (accessory power only) -> on (fully powered) -> off, so pressing it once more will automatically return it to the off state. Just make sure not to press the brake or accelerator pedal, or you might accidentally start the engine. If you forget to turn it off normally, the battery will slowly drain, making it hard to start next time—especially troublesome in winter. It's best to develop a habit of confirming the shutdown when parking to protect the vehicle's electrical components. Familiarizing yourself with your car's button layout can prevent a lot of trouble.
