How to Turn Off the Overhead Light in a Buick?

The car will automatically turn the headlights on or off based on the surrounding environment, or you can turn the knob to the far left to manually turn off the headlights. The Buick Excelle's reading light has two main modes: one is the constant-on mode, and the other is the DOOR mode. When the DOOR mode is activated, the reading light will turn on when the door is opened and turn off when the door is closed.
The light on the ceiling of a Buick is usually the roof reading light, and there are several simple ways to turn it off. The most common method is to directly press the switch button on the lampshade, which is generally found near the light. Most Buick models have ceiling light switches with three modes: always on, on when the door opens, and off. Simply press the button to switch to the off mode. If you can't find the button, don't worry—check the overhead light control area near the center console. Some Buick models have a dial switch above the air conditioning panel. If all else fails, wait for it to turn off automatically; it will shut down after more than 10 minutes of inactivity. Be careful not to block the light sensor near the rearview mirror, as this can cause the light to stay on and drain the battery. If you still can't find the switch, consulting the manual is the most reliable option, as the location may vary between models. For example, my LaCrosse has a different design compared to the Excelle.
