Press the power button once, and the dash cam will automatically enter recording mode and start recording. You can press the menu button to access the main menu. When the power is turned off, the recorder will delay shutdown for 5 seconds.

However, be aware that the factory-installed dashcam automatically turns on when the vehicle starts, so you'll need to manually disable it each time if you want it completely off. For aftermarket dashcams, it's even simpler—just press and hold the small button on the side of the device for about three seconds until the indicator light turns off. If you're still stuck, the quickest solution is to pull the fuse.
