How to Turn Off the Interior Light in a Car?

For models represented by German cars, simply turn the switch clockwise to the desired lighting position. The leftmost part is a rotary switch, where the lighting mode is determined by the position aligned with the horizontal line. From bottom to top, the positions are: off, parking lights, low beam, and auto lights.
In my years of driving experience, turning off interior lights is quite simple. Look up at the bulb cover on the ceiling, and you'll surely find a small button or rotary knob labeled with three modes: on, off, and door-controlled. Turn it to the off position to immediately turn off the light. If the light stays on when the door is open, switch to door-controlled mode so it automatically turns off when the door is closed. Some vehicles, like SUVs, also have light controls on the central console or touchscreen—you'll need to navigate the screen menu to turn off ambient lighting. Developing a habit of checking this can prevent battery drain, especially when parking overnight. Excessive battery discharge can shorten its lifespan, so if the lights don't turn off after closing the door, check for a stuck switch or improperly closed door and address it promptly to avoid trouble.
