How to Turn Off the Continuously Flashing Hazard Lights?

The hazard lights, also known as emergency flashers, can be turned on by pressing the button once and turned off by pressing it again. When you need to stop and troubleshoot, the driver should immediately turn on the hazard warning flashers and move the vehicle to a place where it does not obstruct traffic. The hazard warning flashers should remain on, and warning signs should be set up in the direction of oncoming traffic to increase the warning distance. If necessary, call the police promptly.
I've seen the hazard lights flashing non-stop a few times over the years of driving, most commonly due to the emergency switch getting stuck or not popping back. First, try pressing the switch repeatedly a few times to reset it. If that doesn't work, open the fuse box under the dashboard, look for the fuse labeled "HAZARD" or with a lightning bolt symbol, check if it's blown, and replace it with a new one of the same type. Avoid pressing the switch too hard to prevent it from getting stuck. Prolonged flashing can drain the battery, making it even more troublesome when the car won't start. Last time I went to the repair shop, the mechanic checked and replaced the switch, finishing the job in just a few minutes. Doing it yourself isn't difficult either; all you need is a screwdriver and spare fuses. Keeping the dashboard dry can help reduce such issues.
