How to Turn Off the Car Wiper?

To turn off the car wiper, rotate the wiper control knob to the middle OFF position to deactivate the wiper. Lifting the wiper lever upwards activates the front wiper's washer function, while pressing it down to the first position activates the rear window wiper. Pressing the wiper lever further down to the second position activates the rear wiper's washer function, which sprays windshield washer fluid for cleaning. The car wiper, technically known as a windshield wiper, is a blade-like structure installed in front of the windshield. It consists of components such as an electric motor, reducer, four-bar linkage, wiper arm spindle, and wiper blade. Its primary function is to clear rain, snow, and dust from the windshield that may obstruct the driver's view.
Turning off the wipers is actually quite simple. On most cars, it's operated via the stalk on the right side of the steering wheel. I used to often forget to turn them off after the rain stopped, which wasted power and could wear out the wiper blades. Just gently push the control stalk upward to the OFF position - some models require rotating a knob instead. Be careful not to apply too much force, as this might jam the stalk. If you've been using high-speed mode during rain, remember to switch back to low speed before turning them off. During routine maintenance, check if the stalk moves smoothly and clean it if dust accumulates.
