Last time I drove my bestie's BMW, I ran into the same issue. Just go to 'My Vehicle' on the center console screen, and you'll find the mirror settings in the vehicle settings menu. See that 'Mirror tilt when reversing' checkbox? Simply uncheck it and you're done. But heads up – you need to be in Park gear to change this setting. I spent ages trying earlier only to realize the option was grayed out when in Reverse gear. After making the change, test it by shifting to Reverse – if the mirrors don't tilt down anymore, you've succeeded. Now when reversing, using the surround-view camera is way more convenient since you don't have to wait for the mirrors to slowly reset.

What Causes Sudden Glass Breakage?

Glass can naturally break for three main reasons: poor tempering of the glass itself, insufficient gaps left during installation causing the glass to expand when heated and press against metal edges, leading to uneven stress and breakage, or uneven heating during window film application, where localized heat from a blow dryer causes thermal expansion stress and deformation, resulting in glass shattering. Below is more information about automotive glass: 1. Automotive glass is produced by heating the glass to near its softening point in a furnace, then rapidly transferring it to fans with varying cooling intensities for uneven cooling, creating different stress levels between the main viewing area and peripheral zones—this produces zoned glass. 2. Automotive glass is an essential part of vehicle body accessories, primarily serving a protective function. There are three main types of automotive glass: laminated glass, tempered glass, and zoned glass.

How to Deal with Windshield Oil Film?

Removing oil film involves three steps: First, use household soapy water to scrub the windshield once, which removes the actual oil film layer on the glass surface and also washes away ordinary dust layers. If ordinary cleaning is not sufficient, then hot water should be used for soaking and cleaning. The first layer can be cleaned off with regular cold water, while the second layer consists of physical adhesion or van der Waals force adsorption layers, which require hot water to be cleaned thoroughly. Hot water provides thermal energy to molecules, causing them to move more vigorously, which disrupts van der Waals forces and breaks hydrogen bonds, ultimately removing this physical adsorption layer. If there are still residues, soak the glass surface with acetic acid mixed in water and then clean it. The third layer is a chemical bond adsorption layer, usually composed of calcium-containing ash deposits or connections on the glass surface. Acetic acid, being a weak acid, can decompose most calcium deposits, finally cleaning the glass oil film completely.

What is the difference between q345a and q345b?

q345a and q345b mainly differ in their impact temperatures. Here are the specific details: 1. Grading: Q345A grade does not undergo impact testing; Q345B grade is tested at room temperature (20°C); Q345C grade is tested at 0°C; Q345D grade is tested at -20°C; and Q345E grade is tested at -40°C. The impact values vary at different testing temperatures. 2. Low-alloy steel plate: This material belongs to the low-alloy series in steel plates. Among low-alloy materials, this is the most common type. Q345 was previously known as 16Mn. The external standard for Q345 is GB709, and the internal standard is GB/T1591-94. Due to these standards, this type of steel plate is allowed to be delivered with negative tolerance.

Why does a car pull to one side?

Car pulling to one side is mainly caused by uneven road surfaces, tire pressure issues, or wheel alignment problems. If the pressure in one of the side tires is significantly low, the car will noticeably pull to that side. Other common causes include issues with front wheel toe-in and alignment angles. Below is more information about wheel misalignment: 1. When driving with the steering wheel held steady, the car should generally move straight. If it deviates to the left or right, this is referred to as pulling to one side. 2. Minor misalignment can lead to uneven tire wear or tire damage, while severe cases may result in dangerous situations such as tire blowouts or loss of vehicle control.
