Method to turn off the auto start-stop in CX4: There is an i-stop auto start-stop button on the vehicle's center console. Press and hold the i-stop button until the dashboard display turns yellow, indicating the auto start-stop system is turned off. The auto start-stop function in CX4 is enabled by default, so it needs to be manually turned off every time before driving. The CX4 is a model from Mazda, which is the production version derived from the "KOERU" concept car, positioned as a compact coupe SUV. In terms of body dimensions, the CX4 measures 4637mm in length, 1855mm in width, 1524mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2700mm.

I've been driving a Mazda CX-4 for several years, and the auto start-stop function is really annoying, especially in traffic jams where the engine keeps stopping and starting, which is quite bothersome. Turning it off is simple—there's a button on the left side of the center console with an 'A' inside a car icon. Press it, and the green light on the dashboard will turn off, indicating the start-stop is disabled. However, note that it resets every time you restart the car, so I have to remember to press it before each drive. Why do I always turn it off? First, in city traffic, waiting at red lights, the constant stopping and starting of the engine feels uncomfortable. Second, I've heard frequent start-stop cycles put extra strain on the battery, meaning you might need to replace it sooner for maintenance. If you're too lazy to turn it off, you can occasionally use small tricks like turning off the AC or turning the steering wheel sharply to skip the start-stop, but pressing the button is much simpler. Overall, this feature is designed for fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness, but overuse can be irritating—just try pressing the button to turn it off.

What are the dimensions for parallel parking a car?

The standard dimensions for parallel parking are as follows: The parking space length is 5.25 meters and width is 2.3 meters. The total road length is 15.9 meters, with single side length of 6.8 meters and width of 5.8 meters. Parallel parking evaluation criteria: Failing to follow specified route/sequence results in failure; Vehicle crossing lines results in failure; Incomplete parking results in failure; Stopping midway results in failure; Exceeding 4 minutes results in failure. Parallel parking rhyme: Parking in/out isn't hard, fasten belt, shift gear, left signal flashes. Press clutch, release handbrake, slowly lift clutch to start gently. Align body with right line, left mirror seam follows right line. Stop when front line reaches shoulder, shift to reverse, release clutch. When left mirror covers corner line, turn wheel fully right. Watch left mirror for garage line, at 30° angle turn back one round, when car parallels line, straighten wheel two full turns. When left mirror covers front corner, press clutch and brake. Shift to first gear to exit, turn fully left when hood touches line. Stop when hood covers line, keep wheel position to reverse. Watch right mirror for garage line, at 30° angle turn back one round, when car parallels line, straighten wheel two full turns, when left mirror covers front corner, press clutch and brake. Shift to first gear to exit, turn fully right when hood touches line. Stop when hood covers line, skillfully adjust body position. The new parking space has no poles, only ground markings. The length is much shorter, just enough for one car. The process is simpler: reverse in from right, drive out to left, reverse back in, then drive out to starting point - eliminating the current test's garage transfer step.

Which part of the vehicle should the jack be placed under?

The jack is located on the left side of the car trunk. There are two common types of car jacks: one is the rack jack, and the other is the screw jack. How to use a rack jack: Open the jack to form a diamond shape, with the top being the support part and the bottom being the base. Place the base downward and the support part under the car's chassis. Insert the jack into the gap between the chassis and the ground, use the wheel hub bolt wrench as a crank, and simply turn it. How to use a screw jack: Place the base directly on the ground with the support part under the vehicle's chassis, insert the wheel hub bolt wrench into a small hole to act as a crank, and then turn it. When using the jack, you can place the spare tire under the chassis to prevent the vehicle from suddenly falling, providing an additional support.

What to Pay Attention to When Taking Delivery of a New Car?

When taking delivery of a new car, pay attention to the following: 1. Ensure all accompanying documents are complete, including the purchase invoice, vehicle certification, vehicle conformity certificate, motor vehicle registration certificate, and warranty certificate; 2. Inspect the vehicle's exterior to check if the paint is uniform and free from scratches or wear. The production date of the car's windows can be determined by checking the labels on the glass; 3. Check the electrical equipment. After starting the engine, observe its condition and test the functions of other electrical equipment, including lights, wipers, air conditioning, multimedia system, and windows. It is important to note that the accompanying documents of a new car are crucial, as some are necessary for later registration. Therefore, they must be complete; otherwise, it may affect the new car registration.

Should You Wash the Car Before Applying Window Tint?

It is necessary to wash the car before applying window tint. The method for applying the tint is as follows: 1. Use a specialized glass cleaner to remove dust and any dirt adhering to the glass. 2. Cover areas such as the hood and doors that might get dirty during the tinting process. 3. Measure the dimensions of the glass to be tinted and cut the film accordingly. 4. Apply the cut film to the glass, which has been sprayed with water, and trim it to fit the shape of the glass. 5. Use a heat gun to warm the film while pressing it with a plastic squeegee until it fully conforms to the curvature of the glass. 6. Clean the inside of the glass thoroughly. 7. Spray installation fluid on both the film and the inner surface of the glass before applying the film. 8. Spray installation fluid again on the surface of the film and use a squeegee to smooth it from the center to the edges, working from top to bottom and then to the bottom edge. 9. Finally, clean both the inner and outer surfaces of all window glass.

Does the Mazda Atenza's Steering Abnormal Noise Affect Safe Driving?

The Mazda Atenza's steering abnormal noise affects safe driving. Causes of vehicle steering abnormal noise: 1. Aging and excessive play in the steering tie rod end, requiring replacement of the tie rod end and a four-wheel alignment; 2. Leaking grease from the steering gear dust cover, necessitating dust cover replacement or re-greasing; 3. Steering gear malfunction caused by excessive gear clearance, requiring steering gear replacement; 4. Improper tension or aging of the power steering belt, requiring belt tension adjustment or replacement. Correct steering wheel usage methods: 1. Avoid turning the steering wheel while stationary, try to steer only after the vehicle is in motion; 2. When the vehicle is parked, return the steering wheel to the center position to prevent excessive load on the suspension system and tires; 3. When making U-turns, try to avoid turning the steering wheel to its extreme limit.

What Are the Types of Crankshaft Position Sensors?

Crankshaft position sensors mainly come in the following three types: 1. Magnetic Induction Type. The magnetic induction speed sensor and crankshaft position sensor are installed in two layers within the distributor. The sensor consists of a permanent magnet induction detection coil and a rotor (timing rotor and speed rotor), with the rotor rotating along with the distributor shaft. The timing rotor can have one, two, or four teeth, among other forms, while the speed rotor has 24 teeth. The permanent magnet induction detection coil is fixed on the distributor body. By knowing the signals from the speed sensor and crankshaft position sensor, as well as the firing order of the cylinders, the crankshaft position of each cylinder can be determined. The rotor signal discs of the magnetic induction speed sensor and crankshaft position sensor can also be installed on the crankshaft or camshaft. 2. Hall Effect Type. The Hall effect speed sensor and crankshaft position sensor are signal generators that utilize the Hall effect. The Hall signal generator is installed inside the distributor, coaxial with the distributor rotor, and consists of an encapsulated Hall chip and a permanent magnet fixed together on the distributor plate. The number of notches on the trigger wheel matches the number of engine cylinders. When the blades on the trigger wheel enter between the permanent magnet and the Hall element, the magnetic field of the Hall trigger is bypassed by the blades, resulting in no Hall voltage and no output signal from the sensor. When the notched part of the trigger wheel enters between the permanent magnet and the Hall element, the magnetic flux enters the Hall element, increasing the Hall voltage, and the sensor outputs a voltage signal. 3. Photoelectric Type. The photoelectric crankshaft position sensor is typically installed inside the distributor. It consists of a signal generator and a signal disc with light holes. The signal disc rotates with the distributor shaft, featuring 360 light-etched slits on the outer ring to generate a signal for a 1° crankshaft rotation angle. Slightly inward, there are six evenly spaced light holes at 60° intervals, producing a signal for a 120° crankshaft rotation angle, with one wider light hole used to generate a signal relative to the top dead center of the first cylinder.
