First, the auto start-stop switch for the Camry is located on the left side of the steering wheel. The button with an arrow circling around an 'A' and 'OFF' below it needs to be pressed once to turn it off. However, it cannot be permanently disabled, as it will automatically reactivate each time the vehicle is started. The engine auto start-stop function automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a temporary stop (e.g., at a red light) during driving. When it's time to move forward again, the system automatically restarts the engine.
