How to Turn Off the Auto Shut-off Function?

To turn off the auto shut-off function, simply press the 'AOFF' button located above the one-touch start button. The auto shut-off function, also known as the auto start-stop system, serves the following purpose: when this switch is activated, the vehicle will not continue moving after braking, even if the brake pedal is released. It will only resume movement when the accelerator is pressed, effectively protecting the engine from damage. The working principle of the auto start-stop system is as follows: when the vehicle cannot move forward due to traffic congestion or at an intersection, the driver presses the brake pedal to stop and shift to neutral. The auto start-stop system automatically detects that the engine is idling, no gear is engaged, the wheel speed sensors of the anti-lock system show zero, and the electronic battery sensor indicates sufficient energy for the next start.
I always drive with the auto start-stop feature, but this automatic engine shutoff can be quite annoying in traffic jams. Turning it off is simple: just locate the button near the steering wheel or on the center console labeled 'A Off' or a similar icon, and press it once to disable the function. Note that it defaults to reactivating every time you start the ignition, so you'll need to manually turn it off again. After doing this, the engine won’t frequently stop and restart at red lights, making the drive smoother. However, keeping it disabled long-term will increase fuel consumption and isn’t great for the environment, so I turn it back on during highway or smooth driving to save some money. Some car models allow permanent deactivation through the settings menu—consult a professional repair shop for details. Also, remember to maintain your battery life properly and avoid relying too much on manual deactivation.
