How to Turn Off the Accord Pedestrian Protection?

Accord pedestrian protection cannot be turned off. The pedestrian protection system is set to be non-deactivatable at the factory, and even a visit to the 4S shop won't help disable this function. The Accord is a mid-size 4-door 5-seater sedan under GAC Honda, with dimensions of 4893mm in length, 1862mm in width, and 1449mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2830mm. It is equipped with a CVT continuously variable transmission. The Accord uses a 1.5T L4 turbocharged engine with a maximum horsepower of 194 and a maximum torque of 260 Nm. The fuel tank capacity is 56L.
I personally enjoy doing some minor modifications. The Accord's pedestrian protection system sometimes gets triggered with just a light touch in the parking lot, and popping up the hood costs several thousand yuan to fix each time, which is quite annoying. I've searched online for ways to disable it, and the common method is to open the fuse box under the hood, locate the fuse for the pedestrian protection module, and simply pull it out—some car enthusiasts on forums have shared the steps. But after trying it once, I found the system stopped working, and later I almost hit a pedestrian. Luckily, the speed was slow, but it scared me enough to quickly reinstall it. Modifying this thing carries significant risks—if an accident occurs, pedestrians could be more severely injured, the insurance company might refuse to cover it or impose fines, and the vehicle might fail its annual inspection. Now I’ve come to terms with it—it’s safer to just go to the dealership and have them adjust the sensitivity. While car mods are fun, safety always comes first.
