Pull up the handbrake, shift into P gear, release the foot brake, and turn the car key counterclockwise to turn off the engine. For models equipped with a one-button start system, simply press the one-button start button after releasing the foot brake. This will switch the ignition switch to the OFF position.

I've been driving a Li Auto for a while, and the shutdown procedure is actually quite simple. After parking, first press the brake pedal and shift to P gear. Then you can find the electronic parking brake button on the lower left side of the steering wheel - just press it. Here comes the key step: directly press the power button with a circled P on the center console. When the dashboard goes completely black, it means the vehicle is fully powered off. When in a hurry, I've tried operating without getting out of the car - just locking it and leaving, and the vehicle would automatically power off. Once I forgot to power off while charging, and later found the mobile app would send a reminder notification about the vehicle not being powered off. During summer when resting in the car, I only shift to P gear without pressing the power button so the air conditioning can keep working, but always remember to completely power off before leaving the car to avoid wasting battery.

Proper shutdown is particularly important for new energy vehicles. Every time I park, I ensure to complete the entire procedure: first press the brake and shift to P gear, pull up the electronic handbrake, and then press the power button on the center console with my index finger. The Ideal car key will automatically power off when it's more than 5 meters away from the vehicle, which is a great help for temporary parking at the supermarket. Remember to manually shut down when charging, otherwise, the charging power will be affected. It's convenient to preheat the car with the APP in winter, but if there's no operation within ten minutes after the vehicle starts, it will automatically power off to protect the battery. Last time, a friend forgot to shut down and parked overnight, only to find a 10% drop in battery the next day. This is a lesson to remember.

Not finding a traditional ignition button in a Li Auto vehicle is quite normal. In reality, you just need to complete three actions after parking: first, press the brake and shift to P (Park), then press the electronic parking brake button on the left side of the steering wheel, and finally, gently touch the power button on the center console. The auto-lock feature when leaving with the key is very practical—it not only locks the doors but also automatically cuts off the power. When checking the vehicle status remotely via the mobile app, if it shows the vehicle hasn’t powered off, you can immediately shut it down remotely. For resting inside the car, I prefer to keep it in power-on mode, but it’s essential to ensure the gear is in P (Park) so that the safety protections remain active.
